Cookies used by the website https://www.homnya.com/
In accordance with the provisions and Guidelines of the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter, the “Guarantor”) containing the indications regarding the simplified procedures for information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies (hereinafter, the “COOKIE PROVISION”), Homnya S.r.l, with registered office in Via della Stelletta n. 23, 00186 Rome; contactable at the e-mail address: privacy@homnya.com, [hereinafter “Homnya”], as the owner of the Website (as defined below) and the Data Controller, intends to inform you of the following.
In this notice, pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter, “Regulation”), it will be explained to you how this data is collected, for what purposes, and what your rights are. This document is an integral part of the Information Notice on the Processing of Personal Data, which can be found at the following link: https://www.homnya.com/en/information-notice-on-the-processing-of-personal-data-pursuant/
The website www.homnya.com (hereinafter the “Website”) uses cookies in order to improve your browsing experience.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files containing a certain amount of information exchanged between a website and the user’s terminal (usually the browser). They are mainly used for the purpose of making websites work and operate more efficiently, as well as for the purpose of providing information to the owners of the website itself. Cookies can be either session or persistent. Session cookies remain stored in the terminal for a short period of time and are deleted as soon as the user closes the browser. Their use is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable secure and efficient exploration of the website. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, remain stored in the user’s terminal until a predetermined expiration date. These, since they are not deleted directly when the browser is closed, allow to remember the choices made by the user on its site as well as to collect information about the pages of the website visited by the user, the frequency with which the site is visited and to identify the navigation path of users, in order to improve the experience on this site. Cookies, whether session or persistent, can finally be First Party or Third Party depending on whether the party installing the cookies on the user’s terminal is the same operator of the site that the user is visiting (we will then speak of First Party cookies) or a different party (we will then speak of Third Party cookies).
FIRST-PARTY COOKIES
The Website makes use of the following types of first-party technical cookies, for the installation of which no consent is required from the user but for which the obligation remains on Homnya to provide adequate information:
- Browsing or session cookies: essential to allow the user to move normally within our Website and to properly enjoy the related services; since they are not stored on the user’s computer, they vanish when the browser is closed;
- “Functionality” cookies: solely aimed at improving and speeding up navigation on the Website, by storing certain choices made by the user (such as preferences concerning language, or information about the categories of cookies used by the Website and whether visitors have given or revoked consent).
These are therefore tools used by Homnya to ensure, among other things, efficient navigation, session stability, login persistence throughout the session, and the selected country of navigation. They also serve to store the choices made by the user regarding the display of certain elements of the page, such as information and communication banners.
The use of technical cookies and the performance of processing related to them does not require, under current regulations, the prior consent of the user.
It remains in any case without prejudice to the possibility for the latter to prevent at any time the installation of technical cookies through the settings of their browser, in the knowledge that such a choice could complicate, slow down and sometimes block navigation on the Website.
Homnya is the Data Controller exclusively with regard to first-party cookies installed on the Site.
THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
It is possible that while a user is browsing our Website, some cookies are stored on their device that are not directly controlled and managed by Homnya. This happens, for example, when the user visits a page that includes content from a third-party website (such as, for example, social media links contained in the footer of the Site).
In this regard, it should be noted that Homnya has no role in the processing of data derived from this type of cookie, as it is merely a technical intermediary.
Third-party profiling cookies are used to display personalized advertisements on the Site and other websites and their operation is based on the browsing activities of each user. This type of cookie may also be used by third parties to display their products and services on the Website.
The Website also uses certain types of third-party analytical cookies through which the following information is collected, but not limited to:
- number of visitors, page views and navigation within the WebSte;
- effectiveness of acquisition campaigns based on the source of web traffic;
- details about the services displayed on the Site.
These cookies, as well as the purposes for which the same are used outside the Site, fall under the direct and exclusive responsibility of the third party that installs them on the user’s terminal and serve to show the user advertisements in line with his or her interests (this is the case with third-party profiling/retargeting cookies).
Where the user wishes not to receive third-party cookies on his or her terminal, he or she may at any time, through the links below, or through the selection/deselection options present within the “Cookie Settings” area of the cookie banner (accessible at all times through the link at the bottom left with the cookie symbol, present in the footer of each page of the Site) exclude their receipt.
In the banner accessible by clicking on “Cookie settings” (at the time of first access or, subsequently, by clicking on the link at the bottom left containing the cookie symbol accessible from the footer of each web page of the Site) all the cookies present on the Site are listed, with evidence of their specific characteristics and, in the case of third-party cookies, links to their respective privacy notices, so that the user can make an informed decision on whether to give consent to their use and which cookies, if any, to block or delete.
How to view and change cookie settings and consent management
On your first visit to the Site, you may (i) accept all cookies by clicking on the “Accept all cookies” button; (ii) give no consent and continue by maintaining the default settings, which provide only for the use of technical cookies, which are necessary for the operation of the Site, by clicking on the “Reject all” button or the “X”; or (iii) select in a granular manner only certain purposes or third parties, by clicking on “Cookie settings”, interacting with the cookie banner that is shown on your first visit to the Site.
In any other case, and on each subsequent visit to the Site, by clicking on the link in the lower left-hand corner with the cookie symbol (“Cookie Settings”), accessible from the footer of each page of the Site, you will be able to access the banner that allows you to deny or review your consent to the installation of unnecessary cookies.
In any case, since most browsers are programmed to accept cookies automatically, the user may choose not to receive cookies by accessing the browser settings and disabling their use, according to the procedures described at the following addresses:
